I got my first DSLR - Sony A350K and am loving it so much!
Although I am already very satisfied with my current Canon G9, which took great, clear and vibrant pictures, owning a Pro. camera like this really beats off my Canon G9.
Surprisingly, the weight wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be. This is probably due to Sony's improved grip. I am able to hold it safe when shooting.
Navigating the menus are easily accessible. I love especially how the DSLR live view works and how Sony A350K packed its Auto Focus, it is fast and accurate. With just Auto mode, I focus on my son and am able get a quick snap with his background blur, this is kind of cool to me. Of course, my comparison are against my current Canon G9 and all compact cameras which I own before.
I'm yet to test it on my Blythe dolls.
Now the next thing on my list is to brush up my skills and take great pictures like a Prof. Photographer and especially in handling Sony A350k!
My Blythe Book List
Here's my Blythe book list. I have imported them from Amazon Japan and I love them. They contain lots of Blythe and other dolls news and photo. Often, you may find some useful tutorial such as making doll outfit or shoes. These are books that I have read and highly recommended to all!

Blythe - Bell new custom lip painting and new makeup
I mixed Mr. Color #63 and #59 for a more natural pink lip color. I took each a bean size color plus Mr.Color Thinner to dilute the paint so that I can apply easily onto Bell.
I have retouch the eye shadow as well as blushers (blushers color are mine :P)
Here's the end result and I'm quite satisfied (click image to zoom).

Arrival of Neo Blythe - Miss Sally Rice
Today I received my package from Junie Moon & Gallery. The moment I unpack her, I fall in love with her translucent skin type. This is also my first retro-themed style and vintage-like skin tone. She is fair and sweet.
Take a glimpse of Miss Sally Rice
Can you spot the difference? Miss Sally Rice in fact has a smaller face mold. Although she has great silky smooth hair, she got lesser hair as compared to other Blythe dolls that I have.

Littledot Palace Woven Labels
I have been indecisive designing my own label and was once contemplating to outsource the job to either Name Maker in U.S.A. or Lucky Label in Thailand. Finally I decided on a label maker residing in Singapore.
Here's a few of my label that I received as samples, absolutely gorgeous!

Blythe badly in stains!
Today is Bells' disastrous day! I didn't know letting my Blythe - Bell, wearing a black fishnet tights over a few weeks will end up stains all over her leg. However hard I tried to clean those stains with thinner, it just won't disappear! If you look closer at her leg, you can clearly see that the color pigments have already eat into her skins. I seriously think that there is no way I can clean them off! [sob..]
My advice to you, DO NOT let your blythe wear dark color, tight clothing for more than a day! You wouldn't want your Blythe to end up like mine! If you really need to, make sure you will check for stains periodically or to refrain her from a humid environment and to keep her away from humid, hot/wet weather too!
This is the kind of fishnet tights that stained all over her lovely leg! Unbelievable!
See how serious it turned out to be. She look like one with deadly diseases! >.<

Customizing Blythe - Sand-Matting
Honey Bunny is preparing to go through a few 'facial surgery'.
As I dare not to remove her scalp, customizing Honey Bunny Blythe is limited to sand matte and changing her eyelashes. I do it without removing her face mold or eye balls.
Thanks to Puchi Collection Tutorials and a book that I purchased to customize blythe. I managed to achieve the basic customization.
To sand matte her, I need Norton 3x Sanding sponges as suggested in Puchi Collection Tutorials, but I could not find here in Singapore. Instead, I brought TAMIYA Finishing Abrasives P2000 to sand matte and a Sanding Sponge No. 500 from a 2 dollar shop (Daiso) here in Singapore to polish her.
I cut them into smaller pieces, test the sand matte result at the back of her head. Once I am satisfied with the result, than I try on her face. I sand matte in a circular motion. Initially you may see a bit of very fine scratches (not coarse scratches!), it is ok. I use the sponge to polish it. Those fine scratches will be gone. Than, I use a clean cotton cloth to polish her face again.

Customizing Blythe - Changing Eyelashes
Blythe anxiously waiting to change on her new set of eyelashes.
As I dare not to remove her scalp, I remove Blythe's eyelashes without opening her scalp. Simply use a cotton wool, soak in a hot water (around 85 degree) and press onto her eye lid on around 3-4 mins. It will loosen the glue that was attached on her eyelashes. After that, use a plyer to pull out bit by bit of her existing eyelashes.
Cut the new eyelashes accordingly and insert into Blythe's eye-lid. Than seal carefully with a super glue.
Here's her new look and I love it ;)

How do you like my new hair style?
"How do you like my new hair style?" It took me a lot of courages to remove her braided bangs. I'm so afraid that I may spoilt the look of a beautiful Blythe. After removing the plaid, the left side of her fringe was so curly and long. I tried shampooing, conditioning, blow straight her hair, plus a bit of trimming.. fortunately, she is still as pretty!

Precocious Candy's Mushroom
I wanted a Blythe with long hair and here she is, Precocious Candy's Mushroom with a lovely long red hair. Well, I know I can put on my Honey Bunny Blythe with a wig, but you see, it is still a wig after all...
Precocious Candy's Mushroom has bright and colourful combi, she is one that will turn your day happy after seeing her.
++ Precocious Candy's Mushroom was the winner of year 2007 Miss Natural Beauty competition! ++

I'm now a Real Princess
This doll is meant for my daughter. I brought it from Kiddy Palace, a Toy Store in Singapore. It is about 4 inch tall and cost SGD6.90 only. Having Blythe as my inspiration, I brought a set of eye-lashes hoping it can add some spice on to her and to make her look a bit more exquisite.. it did!
In preparation for eye surgery!
What I did was, used a pen-knife, sliced the eyelid, scissor cut the lashes to size, insert them in and finished it with UHU glue. Quite an easy job.
ta-da... I'm now like a Real Princess, with long and curly eye-lashes! Envy me!

My First Petite Blythe living in Re-ment House
It's been a while, now that I'm back full force blogging.. (i hope i can achieve that :P) I will try to keep my post as recent as possible.
My new passion : Miniature and Blythe!
Before I get my first Blythe, I never thought I would ever see the beauty side of a Blythe or to own one. It was only after I got my interest in minatures, I started collecting them in Re-ment House that I realised I need a owner to make it complete. I started searching and decided to give Petite Blythe a try.
This is my first Blythe and it is Petite! It really impressed me so much with the details crafted in such as small doll (around 4 inch). I thought Neo Blythe will be even better and decided to get one.
Blythe is simply one of the most beautiful doll on earth!
One of my favourite out of my minatures collection.
